I decided to jump into the New Year.
Quite literally, actually.
By jumping into First Dam.
Never mind that it was 17 degrees outside in Logan, Utah.
Never mind that the edges of the dam were frozen over.
Never mind that there were shards of ice in it.
Jumped right in and soaked myself to the bone.
Do you wanna know who is a trooper?
Claire is a trooper.
She jumped into 2012 with me. P.s. When I say 2012, I say it "twenty-twelve" opposed to "two-thousand twelve". You should too. Just sayin'.
We made it home alive.
We tried to resume normal body temperatures.
And then toasted to the New Year.
And, yes! I did bring in the New Year with chocolate milk.
Did you expect anything less?
The sparkling cider was Claire's.
I tried to make 2012 feel special {so it will be special to me!}.
I hope I was successful.
Happy New Year, everyone! :)

I think this is crazy! But this is why I love you! And yes, I would expect nothing less than chocolate milk for your toast. Hope twenty-twelve lives up to your dreams :) cheers to a special year!!
You.are.awesome.
this is crazy and awesome at the same time. wish I had the guts to do that!! BURRRRR!
I jumped into First Dam at the end of September once and it was FREEZING then....so I can only imagine how cold it was for you. You are so cool.
Oh my goodness. You are crazy! I admire you.
Up here they always have the Polar Bear Plunge in a nearby lake on the first of January. Many crazy people participate. Seeing how I don't care to drown on the first day of the year any more than any other day of the year, I do not jump into water, ever.
And yes, I do consider you crazy for jumping into freezing water. Or crasy, if you prefer. :)
Wow you are so crazy! I love it!
You are certifiably insane!
You crazy girl! You have such a fun and exciting life! I love it and I love you!
